Administration committed to curb the challenges faced by businesses, especially investors: President

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has emphasised on the efforts of the administration in curbing the challenges faced by businesses especially in relation to investors. He made the remarks at the function held in Kendhikulhudhoo, Noonu Atoll to inaugurate a mosque constructed by a private party.

Speaking at the function, President Solih noted the services made by businesses to the progress of the nation, adding private parties need to be given the opportunity to invest. The president said businesses face challenges to invest under the laws currently in practice and pledged to amend such laws and provide an easier and a suitable environment for businesses to invest in the country. He added the administration would provide security for the investments made by the businesses.

The president said some of the efforts undertaken within the past year, such as legislative reform, is already showing results.

The mosque, which was constructed by a local party, can accommodate up to 550 worshippers at a time. The construction of the mosque commenced on March 17, 2019 and was completed within 296 days.
