Power houses in 30 islands to be completed this year: Fenaka

Fenaka Corporation Limited has stated power stations in 30 islands will be completed before the end of the year.

The state-owned enterprise stated efforts to relocate 27 power houses in the islands to uninhabited areas would be completed by the end of the year. The initiative launched includes more power houses to be built in 2020.

The company decided to relocate power houses to remote areas to reduce harmful effects of noise and smoke on people.

Fenaka is currently conducting projects in 27 islands and so far about 80% - 99% of the project has been completed. The company aims to complete all the projects before the end of the year.

The new power houses built by Fenaka will have new buildings and modern storage facilities and will reduce harmful effects on public health.
