Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) has contracted Islandmark Hardware Private Limited to install audio and video systems in 101 magistrate courts within a period of 1 month.
DJA said the courts would be able to conduct cases via audio and video networks upon installation of the systems. The department said the systems would be a huge assistance in conducting court cases when related parties are unable to attend a hearing, adding it would also help in concluding court cases in a short period of time.
The project was launched as part of the efforts to develop the communication network, to connect DJA and the courts via an integrated communication network to bring a unified communication enhancement solution to the judiciary.
