Ministry of Islamic Affairs has contracted Afami Maldives Private Limited to construct a mosque in Gan, Laamu Atoll. The mosque would be built in Mathimaradhoo district in Gan.
The agreement to construct the mosque was signed by Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali and Managing Director of Afami Maldives Ameen Mohamed.
The finances for the project would be provided by Zakat Fund and this would be the second mosque constructed with finances from the fund. The mosque must be constructed within 365 days at a cost of USD 317,357.
