Minister of Home Affairs Imran Abdulla has said the system to grant salary and service charge for resort employees needs to be reviewed and improved.
In a tweet, Home Minister Imran said tourism is the largest industry of Maldives and its benefits must reach all citizens. The minister added financial benefits from the tourism industry must reach all citizens of the country.
Praising Minister of Tourism Ali Waheed for his efforts in solving the issues in the tourism industry, the home minister noted improvements have been made over the past one year. He assured Minister Ali Waheed would always prioritise the needs of the citizens.
Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed also highlighted and appreciated the attempts of the tourism minister in improving the sector.
