The Spokesperson of President’s Office Ibrahim Hood has reassured President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has full confidence and trust for all cabinet ministers.
Speaking to media, Spokesperson Ibrahim Hood expressed the administration is grateful the 19th parliament is not rubber-stamp parliament which automatically approves every bill without proper consideration. In this regard, Hood highlighted the president fully trusts each and every cabinet minister to execute their mandates.
Meanwhile, parliamentarian representing Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Ahmed Haleem has called for the resignation of Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir informing if he fails to do so, a no-confidence motion against the minister will be submitted to parliament accusing the minister of supporting religious extremism.
