Fenaka to introduce a smart electricity meter

Fenaka Corporation has announced the company is preparing to introduce a smart meter that will enable the electricity bill to be printed immediately after obtaining the reading.

Speaking to PSM, Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation Ahmed Saeed Mohamed said Fenaka always strives to incorporate the latest technology to their utilities services in order to provide better convenience for the public. In this regard, Saeed noted the company is preparing to introduce an application to obtain readings and a smart meter that will enable the electricity bill to be printed immediately after the reading is measured. He said the application is set to be launched on December 22, and that the smart digital metres will be in use next year.

Fenaka Corporation is responsible for the electricity, water and sewerage services to 70% of the Maldivian population.
