President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has departed to the UAE on an official visit.
The president is travelling to the UAE on an invitation from the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In addition to the crown prince, the president is also scheduled to meet Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
President Solih is accompanied by Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed during the visit. President's Office says the visit will help to reinforce the bilateral relations between Maldives and UAE.
