Minister of Tourism Ali Waheed has begun a tour of Noonu Atoll, Raa Atoll and Lhaviyani Atoll.
The tour is part of a series of visits by Minister Ali Waheed to expand tourism in the atolls, and inquire about the challenges facing the industry and ways to improve the services for tourists. The tour is aimed at creating job opportunities within the tourism industry for the people of the atoll and increase other benefits with corporate social responsibility (CSR). The minister will also discuss measures to be taken to increase safety and security of the tourists.
A one-day conference, titled Building a Bridge between Stakeholders of Tourism and Society, has been planned to be held in the atolls with the participation of resorts and guesthouses.
