Modern labour room and CSSD to be developed at Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital

Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital has contracted Wave Length Private Limited to develop a modern labour room and a Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD).

Wave Length was contracted to complete the project within 80 days at a cost of about USD 85,000. The agreement was signed by Manager at Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital Ahmed Dhaaood and Managing Director at Wave Length Yunus Ibrahim.

Currently, Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital is not equipped with a labour room and has been utilising a normal room to deliver babies.

CSSD is an integrated area in hospitals and other healthcare facilities that performs sterilisation and other actions on medical devices, equipment and consumables for subsequent use by health workers in the operating theatre of the hospital and also for other aseptic procedures such as catheterisation, wound stitching and bandaging in a medical, surgical, maternity or paediatric ward.
