Foreign Secretary Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed has departed to Baku, Azerbaijan to represent Maldives at the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
The ministerial meeting is being held prior to the XVIII Summit of Heads of State and Government next week. Baku will host the XVIII Summit of the heads of state and government of the NAM from October 25-26. The summit will be preceded by the Preparatory Senior Officials Meeting from October 21-22 and the Preparatory Ministerial Meeting from October 23-24.
At the Baku Summit, Azerbaijan will take over the chairmanship of the NAM for the upcoming 3 years.
