Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has decided to transfer Family Court Judge Hassan Saeed to the Criminal Court of Maldives.
An investigatory committee of JSC had investigated allegations made against Hassan Saeed and concluded the allegations as true. JSC then decided to remove Hassan Saeed from his duties as a judge.
In a statement, JSC revealed Hassan Saeed was asked to provide a written answer to the allegations following the findings of the committee. JSC said the decision to remove him from his duties as a judge mitigated to transfer him to another court after taking in to consideration the written answer he provided.
However, JSC maintained Hassan Saeed has violated the disciplinary conduct as a judge and has decided to caution him for the offence.
