Khaleel nominated as Maldivian Representative to OIC

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has nominated Ambassador of Maldives to Saudi Arabia Mohamed Khaleel to be appointed as the Representative of Maldives to Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Upon receiving the nomination, the Parliament of Maldives has forwarded the nomination for review by Parliamentary Committee on National Security and Foreign Relations.

Khaleel has previously served as the High Commissioner and the acting High Commissioner to Singapore. He attained his Diploma of Environmental Law and Policy at Jawaharlal Nehru University, India.

President Solih accredited Khaleel as the Ambassador to Saudi Arabia on June 16, following approval from the parliament.
