Managing Director of State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) Hassan Mughnee has said utility service providers need to be familiar with latest technological advances to provide adequate services during emergency situations.
Speaking at the inauguration of a workshop on Future Energy Systems in association with Finland-based Wärtsilä Corporation, Mughnee highlighted services are interrupted with the changes in climate and environment. Noting utility service providers are not ready for such scenarios, he called on such establishments to become digital champions. He expressed the importance of utilising preventive mechanisms and smart gadgets when providing utility services.
Utility service providers and other stakeholders took part in the one-day workshop held at STELCO.
