Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed the construction of the harbour in Madifushi, Thaa Atoll.
The project was launched on March 20, 2016. A volume of 19,808 cubic metres of existing basin were dredged, and 402 cubic metres of existing channel were dredged under the dredging phase of the project. Additionally, the construction of a 256.03 metre breakwater, a 20 metre revetment, and a 357 metre quay wall block installation were also completed.
Furthermore, the construction of 1,010 square meters of harbour pavement, the installation of two beacons, and the supply and fixing of mooring rings were also conducted as part of the project.
The value of project is USD 3.440 million.
