President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has visited the site of the tragic fire incident in Malé City on September 20 and checked on the progress of work at the site.
It was President Solih's first stop, immediately following his return to the Maldives, following the successful conclusion of his visit to New York to attend the 74th Annual Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). During the visit, the president inspected the area and inquired about the progress of the relief efforts for the fire incident.
The tragic fire incident in the capital city left one dead and about 400 people homeless. The largest fire incident in the capital city affected 4 warehouses and 7 houses.
