President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Mohamed Shathir as the Deputy Minister at Ministry of Communication, Science and Technology.
Mohamed Shathir most recently served as the Director-General of the National Archive and has also previously served as Senior Editor of Voice of Maldives and other similarly prominent positions. In addition, Shathir is a dedicated and prominent persona in the editorial vocation and historical research and serves as a consultant for numerous organisations in similar capacities. He is the recipient of the 2017 National Award of Recognition for his contributions to raising countrywide awareness on Maldives history and has completed various programmes and courses in the academic and editorial professions.
Mohamed Shathir is the third Deputy Minister appointed for Ministry of Communication, Science and Technology.
