Bar Council has started accepting applications for the vacant seat of its Executive Committee.

The Bar Council announced on Wednesday that they will be accepting applications until September 19, while elections are to be held on September 28. Applications are to be submitted to the Elections Centre established in Old Jamaluddin School. Applicants must not be declared bankrupt nor convicted of a criminal offence. They must also have 5-year experience in the legal profession.

In addition, applications whom the judiciary or the Bar Council have declared integrity compromised are deemed unfit to apply for the position.
