Maldives Immigration has revealed, some 11 foreign nationals have attempted entry into the country under false identification.

Many such individuals have been using the photographs of a person with close resemblance on their passports. The authorities have arrested 2 such persons in the past week while trying to enter the Maldives.

The border control system of Maldives has recently been strengthened by the immigration authorities in collaboration with Maldives Customs Service and Ministry of Science, Communication and Technology to stop such infiltration into the country.
