President Solih assures justice for murdered Anas

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has assured justice for Mohamed Anas, who was brutally murdered in a case of mistaken identity. Speaking to people of Meedhoo on his visit to Raa Atoll, President Solih assured the family of the victim and people of the island, that justice will be served.

Anas was stabbed to death by a group of masked men inside Litus Service Centre on July 31, 2017.
Family and residents met with the president on the sidelines of the meetings, and requested justice for Anas be served swiftly.

The President assured family and friends of Anas that the government shall investigate the case and prosecute the criminals behind the murder, and requested the family to stay strong and patient.
He also highlighted that the presidential Commission on Investigation of Murders and Enforced Disappearances is also investigating the case.

The 25 year-old boat captain was repeatedly stabbed and brutally murdered, as he was the mistaken target of an attack, intended to kill another person, according to Maldives Polices Service.

The Presidential Commission on the Investigation of Murders and Enforced Disappearances have revealed, the investigation is underway.
