President meets Felidhoo Island Council

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met with members of the Felidhoo Island Council and enquired about the needs and concerns of the people, ongoing developmental plans and future development plans of the island.

During the meeting held at the President’s Office, the councillors relayed details of several concerns and pressing issues for its residents, such as beach erosion, improvement needed for the health sector, issues of sanitation, waste management, and infrastructural requirements for sports and recreational facilities within the island.

Speaking at the meeting, the president shared updates and timelines of projects marked within the scope of the 2019 state budget. He further stated the harbour project and powerhouse relocation project will commence this year.

The president also stressed that the councillors concerns will be shared with the relevant ministries to find appropriate solutions.
