President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has Ali Shareef as a member of the Judicial Services Commission (JSC). The appointment was made at a function held at the President’s Office.
During the function, President Solih presented the letter of appointment to Ali Shareef, following which the newly appointed member took his oath of office in front of Supreme Court Justice Abdul Ghanee Mohamed. The president appointed Shareef in accord with the powers granted to him under Article 158(d) of the Maldivian Constitution.
Chief Magistrate of Laamu Atoll Judicial Constituency Ali Shareef won the election held to determine a judge to represent lower courts at JSC on August 25.
