Most valuable investment for progress is to enrich learning opportunities: President

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih states the most valuable investment for national growth and progress is to provide enriched and enhanced learning opportunities for children.

Speaking at the Golden Jubilee Celebrations Ceremony of Hidaya School held in Miladhoo in Noonu Atoll, President Solih said every success story in any field always begins with education, as it is a crucial component in creating a multifaceted workforce of skilled individuals in a variety of specialities. He emphasised it is a vital component of the mandate of the administration to provide students with access to modern and top-quality learning opportunities without their parents having to incur a large debt and reaffirmed his pledge to provide for all students across the country.

Speaking further, the president declared today's children are tomorrow's leaders and the future of Maldives will soon rest in the hands of these students. He underlined the fundamental importance of cultivating young minds to become innovative problem solvers in the pursuit of national development and progress.

Continuing his remarks, the president reiterated the most important goal of the administration is to nurture a generation of healthy, happy, hardworking and self-sufficient young adults and that the goal can only be achieved by continuously refining and upgrading the educational system and learning opportunities provided to them.

The president also noted Miladhoo has been an island that has historically given great precedence to education and learning and that the residents of the island have always embodied the concept of progress through individual effort. He appealed to all educators and parents to consider it their patriotic duty to provide any assistance they can to facilitate the learning process of their students and children and to foster a lively generation of cultured and intellectual individuals.
