Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe has met with Vice President of Maldives Faisal Naseem.
At the meeting held at the President's Office, Vice President Naseem reiterated sentiments expressed by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih during the official talks between Maldives and Sri Lanka, commenting on the mutual respect and friendship that has always marked the relationship between the two countries and expressed his satisfaction that the relationship will be further bolstered by the intergovernmental agreements.
The prime minister reciprocated the vice president's sentiments and affirmed his readiness to constructively engage with the Government of Maldives for the mutual benefit of both nations.
The vice president and the prime minister wished each other well and restated their commitment to always maintain excellent friendship that has always endured between the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
