Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickramasinghe has arrived in Maldives on an official visit.
The Sri Lankan prime minister, accompanied by his spouse Professor Maithree Wickramasinghe, and visiting delegation arrived at Velana International Airport (VIA) and was received by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Abdulla Shahid.
The prime minister held bilateral discussions with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, on strengthening relations between Sri Lanka and Maldives, which further progressed by several cooperation agreements signed between the two governments.
Prime Minister Wickramasinghe will also be chairing the 4th Indian Ocean Conference (IOC) scheduled to be held tomorrow.
