Ambassador of Maldives to China Aishath Azeema has presented credentials to President Xi Jinping.
The ceremony held at the Great Hall of the People was attended by State Councillor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi, Chief of Protocol Hong Lei and Chief of Asia Department Wu Jianghao.
Azeema had previously served as deputy ambassador of Maldives to the UK in London and in various senior capacities at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including as an additional secretary and joint secretary.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih accredited Azeema to serve as the Ambassadors to China on June 16.
