Special arrangements made for pilgrims at IGMH

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has established easier arrangements for pilgrims seeking medical treatment. The services of the clinic for pilgrims will be available every day, except public holidays, from 1400hrs to 2200hrs, according to IGMH.

The Public Relations and Media Official of IGMH Hawwa Afeef said pilgrims who returned to the country can consult doctors without any prior appointments and the clinic will arrange all the services needed for the patient. It is notable that each year, during the Hajj season, such clinics are established in Maldives.

Meanwhile, Health Protection Agency (HPA) has advised to be cautious of increasing cases of flu and viral fever following the return of Hajj pilgrims. HPA said if the pilgrims are sick when they return to Maldives, preventive measures must be taken by the pilgrims and their families as it may spread. HPA has asked to seek immediate medical attention if a pilgrim experiences difficulty in breathing and coughs within 14 days of their return to Maldives.
