Maldives have commenced Antimicrobial Resistance and Surveillance Workshop.
The workshop initiated by Maldives National University (MNU) is held collaboration with London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Maldives Food and Drug Authority (MFDA) and supported by World Health Organisation (WHO).
The opening ceremony of the workshop was attended by Minister of State for Health Dr. Shah Abdul Mahathir. Addressing the ceremony as the chief guest, Dr. Shah Abdul Mahathir said the issue of antibiotics and lack of its response is worrisome. He also spoke on the importance of such workshops to raise awareness.
The workshop is aimed to raise awareness on antibiotics and medicine.
