Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) has revealed former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor is still in observation at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
Last Thursday, Adeeb was urgently brought to IGMH for medical treatment, when he fainted and collapsed in the cell he was kept in Dhoonidhoo detention facility. It is believed he fell unconscious and sustained injuries during the fall.
Adeeb is held in custody over a Supreme Court order to detain him until end of the trial on the Maabinhura embezzlement case.
