Over 11,000 tourists from Saudi Arabia arrive in Maldives in the first 6 months of the year.
Saudi Arabia contributes the 15th highest number of tourists to Maldives and is also recorded as the top destination from Middle East, according to statistics from Ministry of Tourism. In this regard, by 2019, over 11,600 tourists arrived in Maldives from Saudi Arabia, which is an increase of 15 percent when compared with the same period of the previous year.
The other top markets for Maldives from the Middle East, UAE and Kuwait, contributed over 3,000 tourists each. Further, there was an increase of 20 percent from Kuwait.
