Maldives Meteorological Service (Met Office) has advised to be cautious as weather is expected to be unfavourable in most parts of the country for the next 24 hours.
Swell wave surges are expected during high tide in some parts of the country, according to the Met Office. The office forecast scattered showers and few thunderstorms in central and northern atolls and few showers in southern atolls.
Furthermore, the Met Office revealed surface winds will vary between southeast/southerly from 3-10 mph in southern atolls, west/north-westerly from 13-23 mph elsewhere, with gust 40 mph during showers. The Met Office expects seas would be slight in southern atolls and moderate becoming rough during showers elsewhere.
