President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed depart on a four-day unofficial visit to Sri Lanka. This is the second time President Solih is visiting Sri Lanka since assuming office last November.
The president pushed back his trip to Sri Lanka to observe the friendly volleyball match played between the national teams of Maldives and Sri Lanka. Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof said the president staying for the volleyball match shows the importance given by him for sports.
President Solih and the First Lady Fazna will return to Maldives on Saturday.
