Ministry of Health has urged to take necessary precautionary measures over possible health issues which may rise due to rainy weather.
Health ministry noted since monsoon rains are experienced in all parts of the country, diseases may spread easily. The ministry highlighted the immune system will weaken during monsoon season, hence the body becoming prone to diseases.
The common diseases spread during monsoon include cold and flu, mosquito borne diseases and cholera as the rainy season makes the body more susceptible to bacterial and viral attacks. Therefore, the health ministry has advised to take necessary precautions against such diseases.
Some precautionary measures advised by the ministry include maintaining good hygiene after contact with rain and flood water, washing hands frequently and most importantly taking well-timed meals.
