Ministry of Housing and Urban Infrastructure has asked former Vice President Abdulla Jihad to vacate the apartment provided by the state. The former vice president was provided an apartment from Rehendhi Residence when he assumed the position during the last presidency.
In a notice, the housing ministry has asked to vacate two apartments given to the former vice president within 7 days. The notice was issued upon order of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), revealed the housing ministry.
The state received 10 apartments from the apartment residence constructed by a private company. Out of which, 8 apartments were sold to senior figures holding positions at independent institutions, while the remaining apartments were given to former vice president in 2016, to be used as his official residence.
