Manta Air plans to operate seaplanes in September

Manta Air has revealed the airline is working to commence seaplane services within next month.

Speaking to PSM News, Chief Marketing Office of Manta Air Ahmed Maumoon said although the service introduction is delayed, the preparations are now progressing at a fast pace. Maumoon stated ongoing are the arrangements to seek necessary licenses from Civil Aviation Authority. He expressed hope the seaplane services will be commenced in September.

Moreover, Manta Air revealed the seaplanes required for the operation will be brought to Maldives as soon as the licenses have been secured. Manta Air said while the seaplanes will be brought from Canada, a total of 10 planes will be brought before the end of the year.

Manta Air said 4 planes will be brought immediately after securing the licenses.
