Vice President Faisal Naseem has met Hanimaadhoo Council and the youth community. The meeting took place on the last leg of his visit to several islands of Haa Dhaalu Atoll.
During the meeting, the council members expressed their grievances and suggestions for future development, such as the scarcity of resources despite upgrading Hanimaadhoo Airport to an international terminal and requested solutions pertaining to road development, harbour development and shortage of human resources for the hospital and airport. They also noted difficulties with waste management and inquired on the short and long term plans of the administration that may address these issues.
Vice President Naseem commented on the issues raised by the council members and youth, assuring that work is already underway to create short and long terms plans and that all the suggestions and difficulties will be relayed to the relevant ministries and authorities.
Following the meeting, the vice president concluded the trip to Haa Dhaalu Atoll and returned to the capital, Male' City.
