President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has underlined the plan compiled by the administration to empower councils will be implemented very soon. The president made the remarks speaking with council members of Baa Atoll, as part of his official trip to some islands in the atoll.
As part of the visit to Baa Atoll, President Solih visited Dhonfanu and Kihaadhoo. The visit to Dhonfanu was the first visit by a president to the island in the past 20 years.
During the visits to the islands, the president met with the island councillors and senior officials of the institutions.
Prior to visiting Dhonfanu and Kihaadhoo, President Solih visited Fehendhoo, Fulhadhoo and Eydhafushi.
