Maldives receive USD 783 million as income by July 18

Ministry of Finance has revealed the highest income generated by the state were from Goods and Services Tax (GST).

The statistics published by finance ministry showed the state received USD 783.468 million as income as of July 18, while the biggest contributions were made from GST. In this regard, the income from GST amount to over USD 258 million while USD 187.773 million were received as Tourism Goods and Services Tax (TGST).

Moreover, the state received USD 129.499 million as Business Profit Tax (BPT) while USD 110.074 million were received as Import Duty.

Furthermore, the expenses of the state was recorded USD 33.410 million more than the income during the period.
