President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed have hosted the Official Independence Day Assembly, extending warm salutations to those present on the eve of the 54th Independence Day of Maldives.
Vice President Faisal Naseem and his spouse, Aishath Shamsadha also participated in the assembly and greeted the guests, which included Speaker of Parliament, former President Mohamed Nasheed, parliamentarians, ministers, state ministers and long-serving members of the government.
Maldives celebrate Independence Day every year on July 26.
