President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has received and accepted credentials from two new ambassador designates to the Maldives.
Following successive welcoming ceremonies held at President’s Office, Ambassador-designate of the Laos to Maldives Bounneme Chouanghom and Ambassador-designate of Sudan to Maldives Ahmed Yousif Mohamed Elsiddig spoke briefly with President Solih, commenting on respective bilateral relations.
In their remarks both ambassadors recapitulated the many areas in which their governments cooperate with Maldives, both bilaterally and in the international community, adding their respective governments will do their utmost to ensure the continuation of the friendly relations with the government of Maldives.
The president wished each ambassador success in fulfilling their duties and expressed his eagerness to engage constructively with them.
