Minister of Economic Development Fayyaz Ismail has travelled to India to seek technical assistance to strengthen the job sector of Maldives.
During the visit, Economic Minister Fayyaz met with Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of India Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey and discussed on how both countries can partner on the skills agenda. Furthermore, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed for strengthening technical and vocational skilling in Maldives.
Following the signing of the MoU, senior officials from Maldives had a meeting with the officials of Skill Development sector in India. Furthermore, Maldives Fund Management Corporation (MFMC) along with Minister Fayyaz Ismail and the Ambassador from Maldives to India Aishath Mohamed Didi met with some of the top Hospitality Companies in India.
