President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady have concluded the official visit to Mauritius.
During the official visit, President Solih met with the acting President of Mauritius Paramasivum Pillay Barlen Vyapoory and Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Jugnauth to discuss approaches to progress the bilateral relations and increase cooperation in all fields of mutual interest.
The president and first lady also actively attended the ongoing 10th iteration of the Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG) which are being held this year in the city of Port Louis, Mauritius. In addition to attending the opening ceremony as honoured guests, the president and first lady attended several of the sporting events held as part of the games and enthusiastically cheered Maldivian athletes.
The visit was remarkably successful and helped solidify the friendly relations between Maldives and Mauritius.
