Maldives Meteorological Service (Met Office) have forecast heavy rain to several parts of the country in the coming two days.
Weather will be improving in the coming days, although rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas, according to the Met Office. The service revealed scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are expected over the country, while showers maybe heavy at times over northern and central atolls.
Meanwhile, the Met Office expected surface winds to be southwest and westerly at 13 to 23 miles per hour while winds may gust 40 to 45 miles per hour during showers.
Furthermore, the Met Office advised to take necessary precautions against heavy rain, strong winds and rough seas as seas would be rough becoming generally rough during showers through the country.
