President appoints a Deputy Minister of Economic Development

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Ahmed Mujahid as the Deputy Minister of Economic Development, effective from July 11 onwards.

Ahmed Mujahid is a graduate of Malaysia's Open University where he completed a Master's Degree in Education. Mujahid has previously served as the principal of Imaaduddeen School, and prior to that, as the lead teacher and deputy principal at Iskandhar School. He was also a lecturer at the Maldives National University (MNU).

Ahmed Mujahid is the fifth Deputy Minister appointed at Ministry of Economic Development.
