President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met members of Maldives National Volley team traveling to Serbia for further training to get ready for the upcoming Indian Oceans Island Games (IOIG).
Speaking at the meeting held at the Presidential Palace, Mulee'aage, President Solih emphasised this is the first time the national volley team was traveling to Europe for training and urged the team to utilise the precious opportunity and reap its full benefit in getting the training needed to get ready for the IOIG. He further expressed hope Maldives National Volley team will achieve a medal in the upcoming IOIG with the help of the training in Serbia.
Moreover, speaking on behalf of the team, the coach of Maldives National Volley team highlighted Serbia is globally ranked in the 10th place in volley and assured the team would bring success in the IOIG.
