Housing Development Corporation Limited (HDC) has asked all parties to remove all belonging, dismantle any structures and to evacuate Hulhumale’ beach area.
In an announcement, HDC said utility pipelines connecting Hulhumale’ Phase I and Phase II will commence at the end of the month. HDC has now informed the individuals utilising the area to evacuate by July 30. Several coffee shops and restaurants utilise the area as an outdoor dining space.
Previously, HDC had issues several announcements to evacuate the area. However, this is the first time the corporation made the announcement in reference to an imminent project, which is believed to USD 15 million.
