Singapore have held a colourful ceremonial reception to honour and officially welcome President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed. The state welcoming ceremony was held at The Istana, the official residence of the President of Singapore.
President of Singapore Halimah Yacob and her spouse Mohamed Abdulla Alhabshee received President Solih and First Lady Fazna on arrival at The Istana. The national anthems of the Maldives and Singapore were played when President Solih and President Halimah stepped on the saluting dais. President Solih then proceeded to inspect a Guard of Honour, and also signed the visitors' book at President Halimah's office.
At the ceremony, President Solih was introduced to the members of the Singaporean delegation and dignitaries. Further, members of the Maldivian delegation were also introduced to President Halimah at the ceremony.
