Chief Justice of Maldives Dr. Ahmed Abdulla Didi has called on Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed.
The meeting took place at the Secretariat of Parliament. However, no further details were made public regarding the meeting.
The Chief Justice called on the Speaker of Parliament at a time Judicial Service Commission (JSC) and parliamentary committee are investigating several cases regarding the judges at the Supreme Court. The parliament has also passed a motion to advice the Supreme Court to stop influencing the mandates of the parliament and other independent institutions.
