No corruption in seeking software for Dharumavantha Hospital: MCST

Ministry of Communication, Science and Technology has refuted all rumours regarding acts of corruption in seeking a software for Dharumavantha Hospital.

A state minister has resigned claiming solutions have not been found for concerns regarding corruption. In a tweet announcing his resignation, Mohamed Shaafiee raised concerns over a software project being developed for the 25-storey Dharumavantha Hospital.

In a previous tweet, he raised questions whether the zero-tolerance corruption policy is a farce. Furthermore, he revealed there was no reason to draw a salary when matters he escalated were ignored and unaddressed by the government.

Answering a questioned posed by PSM News, an official from communications ministry stated Shaafiee resigned over something which does not exist, adding there is no corruption in seeking the software. The official further said IGMH is following the procedure regarding the matter, highlighting the ministry is only providing technical support.

PSM News has learnt Shaafiee resigned without attending to office for months and has been living abroad.
