The first cessation clinic in an atoll has opened in Funadhoo in Shaviyani Atoll.
The Tobacco Cessation Clinic in Funadhoo was inaugurated by Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen. The clinic was opened during a trip by the health minister to Shaviyani Atoll to inquire more information about the health situation.
Moreover, the health minister also inaugurated Keveni campaign initiated by Funadhoo Hospital. He also toured the hospital and met with staff and senior management of the hospital to inquire about the challenges faced in providing health services.
During the trip, the minister will meet local island councils to discuss health services provided in the atoll and on the improvements to be made. He is scheduled to visit 14 islands in the atoll.
